Immigration

What specific policies can the U.S. employ to address the issue of immigration?

Instead of spending billions of dollars on building static walls that can be circumvented, we need to spend that money fully staffing newly constructed multiple entry points mated with digital wall technology.  These entry points would process legal entry for workers to become documented with the ability of local law enforcement to digitally monitor their location.  While the workers remain lawful, they are allowed to fill vacant job demand and then they are required periodic return to their country of origin supporting their country’s economy. The workers following the rules are allowed expedited return to continue working. It is time for significant military support of Central American countries that are victims of the USA’s cocaine demand.  The drug gangs must be put down where they operate.

Should Congress appropriate $25 billion to build a security wall along the U.S.-Mexico border?

Mexico told the president they would not pay for the wall as the president promised and the recent tax cuts have resulted in no surplus revenue to build a wall.  We must spend our money on Medicaid nursing home reimbursements before ever discussing a wall.

Should children brought to the United States with their parents illegally be given a path to U.S. citizenship, or should they be deported to their native countries?

The children referenced should be given the same opportunity to obtain citizenship as those adults that entered the Country legally.
